"Discipline is the first step in success"
I've been thinking about it and I can't really find any other good reason (other than luck) that some people are successful and most people are not. The lack of discipline is a killer. We can pick up any successful story and the "hero" is always someone who practices some kind of discipline.
Be it in the way they think, the system they use or simply their beliefs.
